I finally ditched my heavy cooler for a $60 soft bag and my back is thanking me
For about 4 seasons I hauled a big 52 quart rotomolded cooler on every trip. Thing weighs 25 pounds empty and I could barely get it from the truck to the site alone. Last weekend near Bend I tried a soft cooler bag a buddy lent me and it kept ice solid for a full 2 days in 80 degree heat. It holds about 24 cans and fits behind the seat. Now the big box sits in my garage and I'm not sure I'll ever bring it back out. What's the longest you've had a soft cooler keep ice on a warm trip?

Two days in 80 degree Bend heat sounds decent but I'd want to see that ice test again before I trust a $60 bag over 4 seasons.
