That lantern really picked its moment to quit, huh. Like it was trying to make the scary story even more authentic. Typical cheap gear drama.

Agree with you there! My camping lantern quit right as we were telling spooky stories around the fire last year. Felt like it was trying to set the mood on purpose.

Ever notice how camping gear always seems to fail at the most dramatic moments? It's like they have a sense for when you need them the least. Makes for a good story later, though.
