Arguing with my partner after our lantern broke in the rain, is it water resistance or just bad luck?

She says it should handle drizzle, I think we pushed it too far, what's your call?

Seriously, it's just a lantern. @parker_harris14 had the same issue with overnight dampness. Water resistance isn't waterproof, so a heavy drizzle could wreck it. Arguing over bad luck vs. specs is pointless.

My old Coleman survived a surprise storm after I coated the seals with silicone grease. @charles678 is right about water resistance not being the same as waterproof.
