That $45 helicoil kit saved a beat up M42 mount

Had a customer bring in a Pentax with stripped screw threads on the lens mount plate. Quoted them for a replacement part and they almost walked out. Decided to try a helicoil kit I bought last fall for other jobs, cost about $45 online. Worked perfect, fixed the mount in 20 minutes. Charged the customer $80 and they were thrilled. Anyone else keep a helicoil kit around for this kind of repair, or do you always swap the whole part?
