Swore off ultrasonic cleaners for 15 years til a Konica C35 made me eat my words
I always said ultrasonic cleaners were a lazy way to ruin a shutter, and I'd done it by hand since my first job at a shop on Fulton Ave. Then a guy drops off a Konica C35 with a shutter so gummed up it wouldn't fire past 1/60, and after two failed solvent soaks I finally dropped the whole assembly in a bath at 40 degrees for three minutes. Fired clean on the first test roll. So now I'm the guy I used to make fun of, and I'm wondering what temp and time you all run for older leaf shutters, because I don't want to get cocky and melt some 1950s plastic.
