Showerthought: my first time fixing a stuck film advance lever on a Pentax K1000

I was in my garage workshop and the spring flew across the room, but I found it under my workbench after twenty minutes of searching. Anyone have a better method for handling those tiny springs without losing them?

Actually enjoy the thrill of losing tiny parts, it's part of the repair ritual. That frantic search under the bench builds character and makes you appreciate the fix more. Using fancy containment methods like magnets or clear bags just takes the adventure out of it. Finding that spring after twenty minutes feels like a real victory, way better than if it never flew off. Organized repair is overrated, a little chaos keeps things interesting.

That twenty minute search sounds like a major hassle, not some character building exercise.
