Finally gave up on my old loupe for checking shutter curtains
Switched to a cheap USB microscope from Amazon, the kind for soldering. The difference is night and day for spotting tiny pinholes and frayed silk threads. What do you guys use for detailed curtain inspection?

Genius move honestly. How are you mounting the camera to get a steady shot of the curtain? Just holding it by hand or did you rig up some kind of stand? I've been fighting with a loupe for years and this seems like a total game changer.

Saw a guy on YouTube use a cheap flexible tripod arm clamped to a shelf, worked way better than trying to handhold it steady lol. Total game changer for sure, makes the loupe feel ancient.
