Customer told me to 'just tighten the screws' on a shutter issue
A guy brought in a Pentax with a jammed shutter and insisted a quick screw twist would fix it, I tried it and stripped a tiny gear instead, cost me $40 in parts and a full afternoon. Now I ask customers to describe the problem in their own words, but never take repair advice, has anyone else had a 'helpful' client nearly wreck their bench?
