That one Tuesday last spring where everything went wrong but then totally flipped

I had this day about 6 months ago where I woke up late, spilled coffee on my good shirt, and then my car wouldn't start getting me to a doctor appointment about my back. The appointment itself was a mess too, the specialist was booked up and I waited 45 minutes just to get shuffled to a different office across town. But then on the way home, I stopped at a deli in Fresno and the owner, an older guy named Mike, saw me limping and just said "sit down, I'll bring you something good." He ended up talking to me for an hour about how he got his disability benefits after 3 denials, gave me the number for his lawyer, and it honestly changed my whole outlook on the process. Has anyone else had a random stranger just step in and point you in the right direction like that?

Man that deli guy sounds like a real one. Had something similar happen when my car broke down in Bakersfield and a tow truck driver gave me the number for a mechanic who ended up fixing it for half the price. Sometimes people just show up exactly when you need em.

Used to think tough luck was all there was, but Mike proved a total stranger can just fix your whole direction.
