Small victory at the Balboa Park accessible trail yesterday
I made it all the way down the accessible path near the cactus garden without needing to stop. It's only about half a mile but it's uphill on the way back and I usually give up halfway. Has anyone else found a spot in San Diego that works well for building up stamina?

Funny how the little wins teach us more than the big ones ever do.

The big wins feel great but they're usually a blur of luck and momentum. Little wins force you to actually pay attention to what worked and what didn't. You soak in the small lessons way deeper because you had to grind for them.

Oh man, totally! I found this short loop at Mission Bay near the visitors center. It's flat and only like a quarter mile but I kept adding one more lap each week. That slow grind taught me more about pacing than any big hike ever did.
