My EDD payment hit in 4 days one time and 6 weeks the next, is it just luck?
I got my first EDD deposit 4 days after certifying back in March, which honestly made me think the horror stories online were overblown. Then I filed a new claim after my hours got cut at the shop in Fresno and waited 6 weeks with zero updates, calling every other day and getting told something different each time. Some folks say the system just randomly flags certain claims for review and there is nothing you can do but wait it out. Others swear that calling your assembly member's office is what actually gets things moving, not the 800 number. I get why people say patience is the answer, but 6 weeks with no income is not really a patience situation for most of us. So which side is right, is it dumb luck or is there an actual trick to speeding up a stuck payment? Would love to hear what worked for people here.
