Got denied by SDI twice until I called the EDD office in San Jose directly

I kept filing my claim online and getting rejected for missing paperwork they never told me about. After the second denial I drove to the San Jose EDD office on E. Brokaw Road and waited 45 minutes to talk to someone in person. Turns out my doctor had left out the estimated recovery date on the certification form. Has anyone else had better luck going to a physical office than dealing with the phone lines?

Started driving to the San Jose office myself after getting denied for weeks, and it was night and day different from the phone nightmare. The lady I spoke to found three errors in my application that the automated system never flagged, including a missing signature on page five that nobody mentioned. Did you have to bring a printed copy of your denial letter or did they just look you up in their system?

Yeah same thing happened to me, finally got help after I showed up in person and waited forever.

Wait, they actually helped you once you showed up in person? Did you have to bring all your paperwork again or was it a different person who finally got things moving?
