TIL my local cable access show ran the same car dealership ad 14 times in one hour

Back in 1999 I was house sitting for my aunt in Dayton and she only had basic cable, so I landed on the public access channel. I started counting the identical Bob's Used Cars commercial with that awful synth jingle, and it played 14 times in 60 minutes straight. I called the station to ask if they knew and the guy said they sold ad blocks by the hour, no one ever watched anyway. Has anyone else ever counted a repeat ad on a local channel, or is this a Dayton special thing?
