TIL how much TV guide channel changed between 1993 and 1998

I was watching old home videos my dad recorded and noticed the scrolling guide went from that basic blue and white text to fancy animated backgrounds with music in just 5 years, any one else remember when they first saw that new design pop up?

Nope, the music is basically the same chord progressions and tempo locked in from the start. They swapped out the vintage guitar tones for more modern synth pads and compressed drums, but the actual song structures didn't shift at all. If anything it feels like they just turned up the reverb on the vocals and called it a new direction. People are acting like this is a complete rebrand but it's really just a coat of paint on their usual sound.
