That one snow day in 2001 when every channel went haywire

I grew up outside Buffalo and we got like 2 feet of snow one random Tuesday in February. School was closed so I just sat there with scrambled cable. Every channel was either static or showing the same infomercial for that weird exercise machine. Then around noon, HBO just played the opening credits of the Sopranos on a loop for like 45 minutes. I thought my parents forgot to pay the bill. My brother swore the cable guy was messing with us. Anyone else remember when a big storm would mess up the whole lineup like that?
