My older brother swore the Sci-Fi Channel would never last, and I bring it up every Thanksgiving
Back around 1992 my brother Dave told me not to get attached to the Sci-Fi Channel because it was a tiny niche thing that would fold in a year or two. I ignored him and taped every Twilight Zone marathon and Saturday anime block I could onto VHS, which drove him nuts. Fast forward and that channel outlived half the stuff he loved, and he still won't admit it. He also said the same thing about Cartoon Network, so his track record is two for two on being wrong. Did anyone else have a family member who called every new cable channel a waste of time?
