Heads up: catching a full ep of Beavis and Butt-Head at 2am in my college dorm taught me to check the TV guide first
Back in fall 1997 I was a freshman at a dorm in Akron and flipping channels around 2am during finals week. I landed on MTV thinking it was music videos and about ten minutes in my RA knocked because someone down the hall turned me in for laughing too loud at Beavis and Butt-Head. Turns out there was a whole late night block of that show and I had no idea since I never looked at the printed guide in the student lounge. I got written up for quiet hours over a cartoon, which felt pretty dumb at the time. After that I started circling stuff in the TV guide before bed so I wouldn't get surprised by anything loud or weird. Did anyone else get busted for something they didn't even mean to be watching late night?
