A guy in a Radio Shack told me my VHS tracking was off because of my TV, not my VCR, and I've been checking the tape first ever since
He popped in my copy of Predator right there on the counter and it played clean on their little display set, which meant my 1991 Zenith was the problem the whole time. Now I always test a tape on a second player before I blame the tape, and it has saved me from tossing stuff that was fine. Anyone else get burned blaming the wrong machine for a bad picture?
