Wasted $150 on a Klein coax stripper that died in 3 months

Bought that fancy Klein VDV026-060 back in April and the blade alignment went to crap already. Was stripping RG6 on a job in Austin and it started nicking the center conductor every time. Ended up just using my $8 Ideal stripper for the rest of the day and it worked way better. Anyone else had Klein tools go bad fast or was I just unlucky?

The VDV026-060 is actually a different tool than the regular coax stripper people talk about, it's the all-in-one combo version with the built-in crimper. Those combo tools usually don't hold up as well as the dedicated models, so the blade issue isn't really surprising. You'd probably have better luck with the standard Klein 21046 if you want to stick with the brand, though I still grab my Ideal when I need something that just works.

Nah, the VDV026-060 is actually a standalone stripper, not a combo tool.
