Spent 4 hours wrestling with a rodent-chewed cable run in a crawlspace outside Boston this morning.
What should have been a 45 minute fix turned into a half day ordeal because the previous installer had stapled the line to the joists every 6 inches, has anyone else dealt with that kind of overkill stapling?

Idk man, that stapling every 6 inches sounds like someone who actually cared about not having the cable sag or get snagged again. Maybe you dodged a future rodent problem by having it so secure.

Honestly that actually makes a lot of sense. My buddy @aaron708 did the same thing in his attic and found out later there was a mouse nest right where he skipped a staple. Little guy was chewing through the jacket like a free snack.
