Spent $180 on a telescoping fish rod and it snapped on the third pull

Man that stinks, sorry that happened. A similar thing happened to me with a cheap travel rod I bought online. Ended up going with a Ugly Stik GX2 after that and its been solid for years now, even after getting banged around in my trunk. Sometimes the warranty on these things is actually worth looking into, like some brands will send a replacement if you just pay shipping. Have you checked if the company you bought from has any kind of guarantee or replacement policy?
