Had my doubts about those Klein crimpers but they actually fit right

Been using the cheap ones from the hardware store for years. Picked up a pair of Klein crimpers at a supply house in Tampa last week. First RG6 connector I put on felt solid. No crushed jackets or loose fits. Anyone else find a tool they were skeptical about that turned out worth it?

Heard a buddy of mine who does commercial installs say the same thing, he was dead set against spending that kind of money on crimpers until he tried a pair on a big job. Funny how that works, right? Those Klein ones really do have a better feel in the hand, like they actually lock onto the connector instead of just squishing it. My old cheap pair always left little dents in the jacket, but these come out clean every time. Guess sometimes the hype is real, even if it hurts the wallet a little.

Yeah, totally get what you're saying @the_elizabeth, that dent thing is the worst. My old cheap crimpers left this ugly little ridge on every connector and I'd always have to go back and redo a few. It's not just the feel either, the Klein ones have a deeper jaw or something so the connector sits in there perfectly before you squeeze. No more guessing if it's centered, no more crushed ends where the jacket gets mangled and the shield shorts out. Kinda wild how a tool can save you that much headache for like thirty bucks more.
