Had a customer in Rochester ask me to hide his internet cable behind the baseboard

I used to just staple everything down the corner until last month when a homeowner showed me how to pop the baseboard off and tuck coax behind it. Took me 20 extra minutes but the result looked 10 times better than my usual work. Has anyone else tried this method or do you stick to surface mounting?

20 minutes of praying you don't crack the paint" - that's basically my whole life with drywall. I heard a guy say you can run a razor along the caulk line first, makes popping it off way cleaner. Haven't tried it yet though.

Man, I'd say just go for it. Caulk lines are meant to be cut, and a little paint touch-up later beats spending 40 minutes trying to be gentle.

Right, because nothing says "premium installation" like yanking off someone's baseboard and hoping it snaps back on without looking like a crime scene. 20 extra minutes my foot, more like 20 minutes of praying you don't crack the paint. But hey, if the customer's happy and the cable's hidden, I guess I'm just old school with my staple gun and a prayer.
