Warning: found 3 hidden screws under the laminate on a box build and it saved the whole run
Was building 14 shaker base cabs for a kitchen in Aurora and the face frames kept racking on me no matter how I squared them. Turns out the supplier sent me boxes with the screws shot in from the back under the laminate skin, so my clamping pressure was fighting hardware I never saw. I pulled all 14, backed those screws out, re-clamped, and the boxes went dead square in under an hour. Cost me a half day of rework but if I had glued and pinned them shut with those screws in, the whole order would have gone to the dump. Check the backs of your boxes before you clamp, anyone else get burned by hidden fasteners from a new supplier?
