Visited a CNC shop in Denver and now my joinery looks primitive

Last month I dropped off some offcuts at a production shop near Denver to see how they handle waste. The owner let me watch their CNC router hog out 40 cabinet doors from one sheet of Baltic birch. He said he stopped using dados on anything over 12 inches because the machine holds better tolerances than his old table saw sled. I mostly hand-cut dovetails and use a router jig for hinges, so that demo messed with my head a bit. Anyone else ever watch a high-production setup and wonder if you should upgrade your own workflow? What did you take away from it?
