Vent: Hit 500 drawer boxes and realized my dovetail jig was off by 1/64"
I made 500 drawer boxes over the last 6 months using my dovetail jig without checking the setup once. Last week I was fitting a drawer into an opening and it was too tight by a hair. Measured the jig and found the pins were shifted just a tiny bit from when I first dialed it in back in January. That 1/64 inch meant I had to shave every tail on the last 15 boxes. Has anyone else dealt with their setup drifting over time or am I the only one who doesn't recheck every week?

How much wood are you really shaving off though? Seems like you could just plane it down and nobody would notice but you.

Yeah, "nobody would notice but me" describes about 90% of the pointless stuff I do in my workshop.
