Unpopular opinion: hitting 500 cabinet doors in a month made me miss my old one-car garage setup
I was cleaning out my ledger from last spring and saw I cranked out 512 doors in April for a kitchen job out in Grand Rapids, which is the most I've ever done in one month. Back when I had the tiny shop on Fisk Street I'd have called that impossible, but honestly the bigger space just means bigger jobs and more pressure, not more joy. The old place had one beat-up table saw and a lot of hand sanding, and I kind of miss knowing every door by touch. For the guys who scaled up, did you ever get that feeling back or does it just turn into a numbers game?
