The new houses on Elm Street are all using prefab cabinets. What a letdown for our trade.

Same thing happening over here. Watched them put up a whole block with vinyl siding that looks fake and those generic white windows. Makes every house look like a cheap copy, drains all the charm right out. It's just sad to see.

Prefab means NO character and zero support for local craftsmen.

Totally get where you're coming from, val172. Those big box prefab places drain the life right out of a town. You lose the guy who does custom woodwork for trim, and the local mason who knows how to match the old brick. All that money just gets shipped off to some factory... it makes everything feel cheap and the same. Really kills what makes a place special.
