Pro tip: check your drawer slide screws before the boxes leave the shop, learned this one the hard way
I was loading a set of 14 upper cabinets into my trailer in the parking lot off Delmar in St. Louis when I heard a rattle I did not like. Tipped one box up and two of the slide screws had backed out, the drawer fell right out of the face frame and smacked the concrete. Turned out my helper had been using the impact driver on the slides for about a week and over torqued every single one. I pulled all 14 boxes back inside, went through every screw with a hand driver, and found 9 more that were loose or stripped. Cost me 3 extra hours that Friday and I almost missed the install window Saturday morning. Now I make sure the slides get a dab of glue and a hand driver before anything gets wrapped. Anyone else had a batch go out with loose hardware and did you switch up your shop rules after?
