Custom cabinet requests have included some bizarre pet features lately.
Once had to add a scratching post to a kitchen island.

What's the weirdest one you've seen? I once built a cabinet with a built-in hamster tube system that ran through the entire vanity. The client was thrilled, but I spent the whole install hoping I didn't accidentally seal a little guy in the walls. My own cat's fanciest feature is a cardboard box, so maybe I'm the problem.

It's wild how much effort we put into pet stuff now. My neighbor's dog has a bigger closet than I do.
