Remember when people actually gave away furniture instead of selling it?

Was browsing through the Buy Nothing group I joined back in 2018 in Portland, and it used to be all couches, tables, and chairs people just needed gone. Now half the posts are either ISO for specific rare items or people asking if anyone has a truck to move stuff. Feels like the vibe shifted after 2020 when everyone started wanting cash for their old stuff. Anyone else see the same change in your local group?

Ha, yeah my current Buy Nothing group is just people posting curb alerts for broken IKEA shelves at 2am. At this rate I'll just start dragging my dead couches to the woods like a feral raccoon.
