My neighbor Marie gave away her whole garden setup, and it changed how I do the swap group
Last Saturday at the curb, she put out 40 pots, a hose caddy, and this beat up trowel set. She said she was done growing because her knees gave out, and she just wanted it gone. I grabbed the stuff for my balcony, but what hit me was how she didn't ask for anything back, not even a thank you. Everyone else in this group haggles or posts ISO lists with conditions, and she just dropped it all. Now I'm clearing out my garage, got 15 boxes of old tools and camping gear, and I'm just gonna list it as a curb alert, no claims. Anyone else ever watch somebody give away something big and realize you've been treating this group like a barter site instead of a give away spot?
