My 10-year-old chest freezer quit 2 days into a big chili batch
Woke up Tuesday morning to a puddle in the garage and a freezer that was warm to the touch. Lost about 30 pounds of beef, plus a batch of chili I'd been simmering since Sunday for a potluck at the VFW hall on Route 12. I tried the usual stuff, unplugged it for an hour, plugged it back in, and nothing. It's a Kenmore 253 model. Does anyone know if a fix like this is even worth it or should I just start asking around for a used one somebody's getting rid of?
