Hot take: a stranger on my porch made me rethink my whole giveaway pile

A guy came by last Tuesday for a free lamp I listed, and he said he only takes things he can actually use that same week or he ends up hoarding. That got me because my garage has 3 bins of "maybe someday" stuff I keep re-posting here. So what's your rule, do you take it if you might need it later or only if you need it now?
