Gave away my old hand mixer after seeing how much counter space I got back
I kept it on the shelf for 2 years because I thought I'd need it for holiday baking, but last week I finally posted it here and someone picked it up in an hour. The empty spot made me realize I was holding onto stuff more for guilt than use. Has anyone else gotten rid of a small appliance and felt weirdly lighter about it?

man i felt this in my soul. i had a bread maker sitting in my cabinet for like 3 years, used it twice, and every time i opened the door it just stared at me like a guilty reminder. finally posted it and some lady grabbed it the same day. my whole kitchen felt bigger instantly, and i actually started cooking more because i wasn't tripping over stuff i didnt use. it's crazy how much mental weight a dumb appliance can carry. like the shelf space was nice but the real win was not feeling bad about something i never touched.
