Gave away my old Crock Pot on here and it went in 15 minutes, but my bread maker sat for 3 weeks
Posted both on the same Sunday here in Boise, and the Crock Pot was claimed before I even finished my coffee while the bread maker got zero bites for 3 weeks. Turns out people actually want the thing they'll use, not the thing that sounds nice in a give-away post. What's the longest something of yours has sat unclaimed on here before you finally gave up?
The "sounds nice" trap is so real, and it goes double for kitchen stuff. A bread maker is the classic example because everyone pictures themselves kneading dough on a Sunday morning, but then you remember it takes 3 hours, the paddle leaves a hole in the loaf, and cleaning the pan is a pain. A Crock Pot is the total opposite: you dump stuff in, walk away, and dinner is done, so it gets grabbed fast. Same thing happens with juicers and waffle makers, they sit forever while an air fryer or a plain old rice cooker disappears the same day. My rule now is if it needs its own special recipe book to use, it's going to sit.
