Doubted the free treadmill listing, ended up with a 3 mile daily habit

Listed in the NoVA swap group as 'loud but works', I figured it was a scam or someone's trash. Hauled it home after 2 weeks of hesitation, threw in a new belt from Amazon, and it runs smooth as butter now. Has anyone else grabbed something sketchy from here that turned out surprisingly solid?

Did you check the belt tension before you ran it? I grabbed a "free but finicky" bread maker once, turns out it just hated the cheap flour I was using. Now I make sourdough every Saturday and my neighbors think I'm some kind of artisan.
