Appreciation post: the lady at the Portland swap meet who took my extra boxes instead of letting me dump them
I do pressure washing and end up with tons of leftover plastic spray bottles and scrub brushes that customers leave behind or I replace way too often. Last Saturday I drove to the Portland Expo swap meet just to get rid of 3 big boxes of stuff, not even to shop. This older lady running a free table looked at my junk for two seconds and said "honey that's not junk, that's someone's whole weekend right there" and took every single box. Now I keep a milk crate in my truck and drop stuff at the free table every month instead of the dump. Has anyone else had a spot like that where the people just get it?
