Took me three tries to figure out why my grind was inconsistent
I was trying to get a consistent grind on some chuck for burgers and kept getting weird chunks in the mix. Turned out my knife was dull on one side and I never even checked it. Anybody ever fight with a grinder for way too long over something dumb like that?

Ever had a moment where you spend an hour adjusting the grinder tension, only to realize the plate is on backward? Yeah, that was me last month. Felt real smart when I flipped it and suddenly everything came out perfect. I swear my grinder knows when I'm in a hurry and just decides to rebel. It's like it waits until I'm already late for dinner to show me the real problem was my own dumb mistake. The worst part is standing there covered in grease staring at it like it's going to apologize.

You ever take the whole thing apart three times before noticing the blade wasn't even seated right? I did that last month with my grinder, spent an hour tightening and loosening everything, grease all over my forearms, then realized I'd put the knife on crooked. @lunab97 is spot on about the plate thing too, I've done that exact same mistake with my KitchenAid attachment. Sometimes the dumbest stuff gets you because you're convinced the whole machine is broken when it's just you being in a hurry.
