Spent $400 on a fancy dry aging fridge and I regret it

I bought one of those dedicated dry aging fridges for my shop last year. The thing cost me $400 and it breaks down every few months. I had to throw out three whole primal cuts because the temp sensor went haywire. Am I the only one who thinks a normal walk-in does the job just fine?

@oliver719 you're not totally wrong but I think the dry aging fridges have their place if you get a reliable one. A regular walk-in works fine for most stuff, those boxes just let you dial in humidity better.

dude my buddy actually went all in on one of those dry aging fridges last year lol. he was so hyped, bought a whole ribeye primal and waited like 45 days. first one came out okay but not life changing. second one had a weird mold issue because the humidity sensor was off. by the third one he just got frustrated and started using his regular fridge again. he still has the box sitting in his garage collecting dust.

$400 and three primals later, you're basically paying for a very expensive science experiment.
