PSA: Found out the hard way about a new USDA rule on imported beef

I was reading the trade update from the American Meat Institute last week and saw a note about a change for imported primal cuts. Starting next month, all beef coming in from two specific countries needs an extra stamp on the chine bone for traceability. I almost missed it because it was a small paragraph. Has anyone else had to adjust their ordering or paperwork for this yet?

Ugh, that's so typical. I mean, it feels like every new rule gets buried in some tiny footnote until it's too late. Makes you wonder what else we're all missing.

Guess they really want to stamp out any confusion.

Seen this everywhere lately. People would rather kill a conversation than risk someone getting the wrong idea.
