My band saw blade snapped mid-cut on a 40-day dry-aged ribeye yesterday

It made a sound like a gunshot and sent the whole primal flying into a rack of sheet pans. What's your go-to move when a tool fails at the worst possible moment?

Man, that sound is the absolute worst. My go-to move is a very specific, very loud sigh followed by a five-minute hunt for my safety glasses that flew off my head. Once found, I just stare at the broken tool like it personally insulted my mother. Then comes the sad walk to the toolbox to see if I even have the right part to fix it.

Ugh, that unplugging instinct is so real. I've gotten so paranoid that I'll actually just stand there and stare at the outlet for a minute to be sure, my heart still pounding. It turns a simple tool failure into a full-on safety ritual before I even assess the damage.

Honestly, I just freeze for a solid ten seconds while my brain catches up. Then I make sure nothing is on fire and my fingers are all still there. My next move is to unplug the dang thing before I even touch it, because my luck is that bad. After that, it's a lot of muttering under my breath while I clean up the mess. Only then do I even think about fixing the tool.
