Counted my lamb orders from this winter and hit 487.
Not a huge number for a big shop but for a one-man operation like mine that's more than I did in the previous two winters combined, has anyone else seen a weird jump in demand for specific cuts this year?

Wait, 487 orders or 487 lambs? Those are pretty different numbers.

Oh man, "orders or lambs" - that's the real question right there, @james_torres. I've been burned by this exact thing before. About two years ago I had a guy bragging about his 'biggest order ever' and it turned out he meant 487 lambs, not orders. Total nightmare for logistics if you prep for one and get the other. My rule of thumb now is to just ask straight up, 'how many separate customers does that cover?' because numbers can be deceiving. If it's 487 orders with one lamb each, you're looking at a lot of individual packs and labeling time. But if it's 487 lambs across just a few orders, you need to think about freezer space and delivery timeline completely different.
