Thought a basic layout would be boring, now I'm hooked

I spent 6 months overcomplicating my bullet journal with fancy trackers and stickers. My cousin Sarah showed me her super simple layout with just a monthly log and daily tasks. I rolled my eyes at first but tried it for 2 weeks. Now I actually stick with it every day and don't feel overwhelmed. Has anyone else found that less stuff actually works better for them?

Oh man, the sticker trap is real. Spent a small fortune on those little decorative washi tape rolls thinking they'd make me more organized. Just ended up with a pretty book I was too scared to mess up with actual mistakes. Sarah's simple approach sounds like what my buddy Tom did - he uses one page for the whole month and calls it good. Six months of my life gone to perfecting handwriting that nobody was going to see anyway. Your cousin deserves a medal for saving you from that nonsense. Less stuff definitely works better, unless you're running a stationery shop as a side hustle.

Fancy trackers and stickers" really hit home for me because I fell into that same trap. I had color coded everything and spent more time decorating than actually writing stuff down. After switching to a plain notebook with just dates and tasks, I finally figured out what worked for me and it's way less stressful.
