That friend who told me to stop being fancy with my weekly spreads...
My buddy Mark (who's been bujo-ing since 2017) kept saying my weekly was too complicated with all those colors and trackers. After I crashed and burned last month trying to keep up with it at work, I stripped it down to just a simple list and a dot for tasks. Has anyone else had to give up a pretty layout just to actually get stuff done?

Doesn't it feel like we do this with everything these days, not just planners? Like we add all these extras to our morning coffee or our workout clothes trying to make a simple thing more special, then realize we just made it harder to do.

Wait, is having a colorful weekly spread really that big of a deal? Like, who cares what your buddy Mark thinks about your planner, it's your notebook not his. I mean yeah if you're burning out trying to keep up with a fancy layout then strip it down, that's just common sense. But getting all dramatic about "giving up" a pretty layout sounds like you're treating a notebook like it's some kind of lifestyle crisis.
