Shoutout to the minimalist spreads that actually work

I thought those bare bones weekly layouts with just lines and no drawings would be boring. After 3 months of trying both decorated and plain, the simple ones actually help me get stuff done faster. Anyone else find the fancy stuff distracting?

My weekly spread has exactly 8 sections - a tiny calendar plus 7 daily boxes, and thats it. I found that spending 30 minutes drawing was just me avoiding the actual tasks I needed to write down lol. Stripping it back made me actually check my planner instead of letting it collect dust on my desk.

Haha I think you might be counting wrong man. If you have a tiny calendar plus 7 daily boxes, thats actually 8 things total not 8 sections. The calendar is one section, the 7 days are 7 more, so you're at 8 but the calendar itself probably has 30 or 31 little boxes. So your planner has way more than 8 sections depending on how you look at it. But I get your point about keeping it simple, I do the same thing with just a running list and no frills.
