My journaling supplies bag leaked ink all over my weekly spread
Honestly, I keep my pens and a small water brush in a pencil pouch inside my backpack. Last Tuesday the brush cap came loose and soaked everything, including my entire weekly layout for the first time in 8 months. I had to rewrite the whole week on fresh pages, and my handwriting looks way worse now. Has anyone else switched to separate waterproof pouches after a spill like this?

Ugh, that sucks so bad! @theawest's right about hard cases, they save everything.

Eight months is actually pretty good for a leak, I went about three before my mildliner caps gave up and ruined a month at a glance. The thing is, a waterproof pouch only helps if you actually seal it every single time, which I never did consistently. What fixed it for me was switching to a hard case, like a pencil box, so even if something leaks inside, it stays contained and doesn't soak the bag or my notebook. You also might want to check that brush, because those caps are notorious for not staying fully closed, it's not just a storage problem. Rewriting a whole week is brutal though, I've been there, and yeah, my second attempt always looks like a different person wrote it.
