My habit tracker was a lie until I tried a simple two-line fix

I kept falling off my habit tracker after a week because I couldn't stick to the same three things every day. Last month I tried something different: I drew two vertical lines down the page and labeled them 'morning' and 'evening'. Now I list one small habit per column each day, like 'make bed' or 'stretch for 2 minutes'. It sounds too simple but I've kept it going for 21 days straight. Has anyone else found a weird layout that just clicked for them?

Can't believe @drew906 got away with just one column. That's genius level lazy.

Tried something similar but with just one column labeled "anything that takes less than 5 minutes" and it basically saved my whole system. It's wild how setting a tiny bar like that tricks your brain into actually doing stuff instead of just staring at a blank page. The two line thing sounds way too easy but I bet that's literally why it works, you're not overthinking it at all. Honestly think half the battle with habit trackers is just making them not feel like a chore to fill out.
