I keep seeing people skip the daily log and go straight to fancy weekly spreads.

I was helping a friend set up her first journal, and she had already drawn out a whole intricate weekly layout before writing a single task. She said she saw it on Instagram. The daily log is the core of the system for a reason. It's where you actually capture things as they happen. Without that habit, the pretty spread is just an empty calendar. How do you balance making it look nice with keeping it functional?

Pretty spreads are useless without the daily habit... it's just decoration.
