Had a buddy I ride with tell me my bujo was 'too perfect'
I was showing him my monthly spread on break last week, all neat lines and washi tape. He said it looked like I was making a magazine, not a planner. At first I was annoyed but then I realized he was right. I spend more time making my spreads look pretty than actually writing down what I need to do. Has anyone else caught themselves focusing more on the art than the actual tracking part?

It's like we're all trying to create this perfectly curated version of our lives instead of just living them. Scrolling through Instagram you see the same thing - everyone's highlight reel is so polished it's fake.

Bro I totally felt that "making a magazine, not a planner" line because thats literally me right now. I spent two hours last night color coding my habit tracker and realized I didnt actually check off any of my habits for three days straight. Its like I got so caught up in the aesthetic I forgot the whole point was to actually use the thing.
